Yes, they should. Good idea. Instead of Governing body they need to put Satan. Satan is a lier, so is the GB. So Satan followers would be very much appropriate.

Changing Name from Jehovahs witnesses to governing body followers?

but i was thinking this morning that it wouldnt be that far fetched to do so.
i mean they could use the spin, " we have so much new light and the times are so close, that we need to be obedient to the fds," there have been many changes in the organization so we don't want to be associated with the old name, but again more then ever we need to be obedient" .

I sent off my application to study Palaeobiology (MSc) at Bristol uni and ...

finance is already sorted - they're waiting for me to give them my new student number so that they can start paying me.
just need to formally accept bristol's offer and sort out accommodation.. accommodation should be ok - i've been told priority is given to new students, plus i'm enrolling onto a program for a real degree as a postgraduate - i won't be studying gender studies or some crap like that.

The disfellowshipping of JWdoctrine

after 49 years as a jehovah's witness 3 of which in prison as a conscientious objector under very harsh conditions i have finally disassociated myself.
for the past 2 years, i have been partaking from the emblems and that led to an intense persecution, harassment, online stalking and defamation of character.

Can you disassociate on your last judicial committee for apostasy?
by jwdoctrine inhi guys, i have been summoned to a judicial committee for apostasy.
i'm going to disassociate anyway but i don't want to miss the fun .i'm thinking of handing my letter of dissociation on the night of the committee.do you think this is a good idea?.

It all depends how much do you want to wind them up. When elders met with me I was very straight forward and didn't make the conversation easy. There was only one elder that was a great guy and I always tried not to hurt his feelings. With all the other elders I behaved exactly the same way they were behaving with other brothers and sisters - arrogant, disrespectful and not kind

by NeedToKnow ini was thinking that i’m not exactly pomo but more pomosi - physically out mentally out spiritually in.. anyone who is familiar with the life of raymond franz may understand what i mean.
so i haven’t been to meetings in a while and i’m so over the whole mind control thing but i do love jehovah and believe in his purpose for us.
the org doesn’t go about it properly imo so i have been doing my own reading and understanding.

Well done on starting the real journey to find Jehovah. I was a JW for a long time, but I am not anymore. The org helped me to understand more about religion and how it uses people. I came to realise that I became much closer with God since I left. I don't personally believe that God's name is Jehovah. But I fully understand where you are coming from and I wish you all the best in your spiritual life.

Yes, sadly thats how it is. The longer I was a JW there more I saw that it is not a religion of love, but some type of religious fanatical cult where people serve the Governing body. Luckily I have stopped doing JW things since I am 20. I am not difed. But some of my local JWs really don't like me

First of all. Hi everyone, sorry I didn't write or participate here for a while. My second child was born. I took time of work. Spend a lot of time with the family and travelled to my birth country - Latvia.
Second of all this topic might be dodgy for people who fully don't believe in God.
In Latvia I met with many of my friends including with one JW brother. I became a JW in Latvia and stopped going to the meetings when I moved to UK, so a lot of JWs from Latvia quietly keep in touch with me. This Latvian brother for many years has a desire to leave the Org, but he is afraid. So, long story short.
Brother - Is life difficult without Jehovah?
Me - Do you think I live without God?
Brother - Well yeah.
Me - Because I am not a JW doesn't mean I am without God. In fact my relationship with God became better and deeper since I left the Org. I don't need to believe in God, I know God exists. I pray to God every day. I had relationship with God before the Org. The Org was just part of my journey to understand God, but for me the Org never substituted God. Since I left the Org God never stopped supporting me. 10 years I live without calling God Jehovah. 10 years without Jehovah, the Org and the elders and I feel amazing. I married an amazing Welsh girl. I have two healthy babies. I have my own small business and I became a published Author.
Brother - But is that Jehovah helping you?
Me - Nobody knows what God is. The Org is only saying they know true God, but they know nothing. Just look what mess they did with all their predictions. Real God would never make such stupid mistakes and destroy peoples lives. There is God and in my opinion this God has relationship with people personally. God doesn't care what religion you are.
Brother - So I will be fine if I leave the Org?
Me - Yes.
Dear JW brothers and sisters if you read this and you are afraid to lose connection with God by leaving the Org, don't be. Your relationship will only get better because between you and God there will nobody. The Org and the elders wont be in your way for you to connect with God. Be courageous and brave and dont' let the Org scare you.
